How often should I clean my carpet?

How often should I clean my carpet?

Do you sit and look at your carpet and think, how does it get so dirty so quickly? This means your lounge area is typically probably the most used room by the family in the house.

Your busy lifestyle means your Carpet may not get the attention it needs. This means you will be replacing it sooner than usual and will be costly.

When was the last time you had your carpets cleaned? Often the answer is usually NEVER!

Regular cleaning of your carpets can save you so much money in the long run.

Light Cleaning

Your carpets should be vacuumed regularly, 2-3 times a week at least. We at Art of Clean in Cambridge recommend a Sebo vacuum for this.

You can remove most dust, dirt, animal hairs, and even dead skin by vacuuming regularly. All these things can be responsible for allergies, so removing them by a simple vacuum is always a good idea.

This is also important for doing any heavier cleaning on your carpets.

Heavy Clean

How often you get your carpets cleaned will determine how frequently you need to get the professionals out to clean them.

If they are used often by Children or pets or have a heavy traffic flow, they will attract dirt and grime more quickly, so a heavier clean will certainly be needed.

We at Art of Clean in Cambridge do advise you to get a heavy-duty clean by a professional is done at least once a year. Remember, this will save you money later on.

It is best to leave the cleaning to the professionals because they will know the method of cleaning needed for different types of fabrics and can take the care it needs for the best results and use the best cleaning products and machinery.
