You are sitting on your sofa and decide you are fed up with your rug looking dull and discoloured.
Sometimes we need to look at our rugs and decide is it worth restoring the colour or buying a new one. Sometimes we inherit a rug and cost is not a question or maybe we just love the Rug so much we do not mind spending so much on the rug to be restored.
How can I tell what the colour should look like?
You can normally see how much the rug has discoloured by looking at the back of the rug, sometimes though rugs are made to look discoloured so bear that in mind. Rugs and Carpets can fade in areas especially when they are in a sun catch area of the home.
How can I decide if to get the rug restored?
When deciding to get the rug restored you should consider the value of the rug, restoring the colour of a rug can be costly. It is always best to get the rug valued by a reputable company or rug specialist before making your decision.
If your Rug is worth for example £1000, we would recommend you spend no more than half the value of the rug for getting restored.
You should then research the best carpet dyeing company to go with, this is very important for the best result and care for your rug.
